Why you need it

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution is a water-free product formulated to effectively decongest the skin, and impart a superficial exfoliating effect. This will result in a visible reduction of apparent pore size and textural irregularities, with improved skin tone homogeneity and clarity over time. It exfoliates the surface of skin, clearing away dead skin cells, and penetrates into the inside walls of pores to clear excess oils that can lead to clogging. It helps to reduce the appearance of blemishes and clarifies skin with continued use over time. Salicylic Acid also has anti-inflammatory properties, so helps to tone down redness and inflammation of acne. It can even help to regulate sebum production so skin becomes more balanced over time. Important: Always use a daytime SPF when using products with BHAs like Salicylic Acid. Not recommended for anyone allergic to aspirin. Skin type: All skin types, especially Oily or Combination. how to use


Apply in the morning and evening. Apply a small dot to the target area or apply a small amount over the face for general use. Do not use on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Patch testing prior to use is advised.

Love most of the ordinary products that I’ve tried but unfortunately my skin reacted badly to this and resulted in allergic contact dermatitis. Gave to my sister to try and she had the same reaction.. I think the Paula’s choice salicylic acid are much more gentle and effective although a lot more expensive.

I tryed this product for the first time and taught it was great only down fall I have is it drys your skin out so much it can leave scars if you put it on exposed spots other than that it is a very good product would recommend

I bought this on a recommendation from a friend! I bought it to be used on breakouts on my teenagers face! The acid in this product was way too strong as it actually burnt the skin! This product needs to be diluted with water before using

Could you please let us know how you used this solution? How many times a day and what other products have you been using at the same time? As Salicylic Acid isn't supposed to burn your skin but rather help dry out break outs. Please let us know so we can advice further :)

I am giving this product 5 stars. Absolutely amazing. Ive tried so many products for my blemishes and spots, but this one is effective from day2. I am drinking a lot of water as well to keep my skin hydrated. slight redness on skin after 3-4 days of using. I would say a small amount is enough if you applying all over the face instead of just the spots. definitely recommend. And buying it again. And so affordable and easy application with the dropper.
Make sure you use good spf before leaving out in sun or just avoid Sun.

Gave me an acid burn !!

I tired this product and followed the instructions perfectly but woke up with a large acid burn on my chin . Ik wouldn't recommend this product .

Hi folks. Can you advise on what products this should not be used with or should be used on alternate days? I use the Vit C powder in the am and the Granactive Retinol and Buffet in the evening. I also use the AHA BHA peel twice a week. Can this be used with all of those or will I need to alternate?

Hi,
Please note the AHA/BHA Peel also contains 2% Salicylic Acid. As you are already using some strong products (the Retinoid, Ascorbic Acid Powder and Peel) I would suggest you use the Salicyclic Acid just where needed most to reduce the risk of causing skin sensitivity. I would also suggest you introduce the new products to your routine gradually and one at a time so you can monitor how your skin responds.
