Visible Pores

Pore size is mostly down to genetics, so no product can shrink or close pores, but the right skincare can make them look smaller. Salicylic acid keeps pores clear, niacinamide helps balance oil, and retinol and exfoliating acids smooth the look of skin texture.

Skin Concern FAQs

Can skincare shrink pores?

No product can change the size of your pores or close them, but keeping them clear and controlling oil makes them look smaller. Salicylic acid, niacinamide and retinol are the ingredients to look for.

Which pore minimiser should I choose?

Salicylic acid if your pores look clogged or you get blackheads, niacinamide if your skin is oily, and retinol or glycolic acid if you also want smoother-looking texture. For an instant matte look, add a product like the Paula's Choice Shine Stopper.

Which cleanser is best for visible pores?

A cleanser that clears oil without stripping, such as the Paula's Choice Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser with salicylic acid, or the PIXI Deep-Pore Glow Mud Face Cleanser.
