This pore cleansing serum contains the main ingredient Salicylic Acid, which is a lipophilic beta hydroxy acid (BHA), which is very effective at targeting oil and sebum within the pores, that can lead to congestion and breakouts. It does all of this while also promoting exfoliation - exactly what we all want to hear!
This skincare newbie is slightly different to The Ordinary’s old Salicylic Acid. This new formulation is in a squalane base with the intent of reducing skin irritation or any concerns that can be associated with the use of Salicylic Acid. Meaning it works a treat for clearing out pores and targeting any skin texture issues. This formula is a water-free product formulated to effectively decongest the skin and give a superficial exfoliating effect. This is designed to be used in the morning and evening on clean, dry skin. Apply a small dot to the target area or for general use, apply a small amount over the entire face. It is important to note, do not use this product on sensitive, peeling or broken skin. Also, be careful as this product contains a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Always use sunscreen and limit the sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
